KOL 60's/70's linchpin, Joe Sabo (right), hands off
rare KOL audio to Robin Mitchell (left) at a recent
clandestine rendezvous in the 13 Coins parking lot.

RHW I was part of original "Magnificent 7" DJ lineup and
did 9PM-Midnight when KOL went TOP 40 in May 1966.
By '67, Rhett was PD and on-air 3-6PM.  RHW I joined KRLA shortly after this aircheck was recorded.

This is NOT Gary Shannon, who became "Rhett Walker,"
when he joined WQXI - Atlanta from KJR.

Dex Allen joined KOL from KQV - Pittsburgh to replace
RHW I in the 9PM-Midnight slot when Rhett moved to
PM Drive.

When Danny Holiday went into the service in '67, Dex
Moved to 6-9PM, and Robin Mitchell joined KOL in the
9PM-Midnight slot.

Lee Perkins joined KOL for 6-9AM in early '67 from Don
Burden's WIFE - Indianapolis.

Lee had been a fixture for many years at KJR, so this was a happy homecoming.

Tom Connors joined KOL for Noon-3PM from KXLY in
Spokane in Early 1967.

Tom had been Program Director at KXLY.  Interestingly,
5 of "The Mag 7" in the Summer of '67 had been PD's.
had been  PD's.

This photo is from a 1968 promotion in front of the Seattle Center's Symphonic
Fountain.  Front row:  Dick Curtis, Robin Mitchell, Gary Todd, Jeff Boeing,
Greg Connors, and promotion guy Joe Sabo.  Bobby Simon is not in the picture,
because he was back at KOL's Harbor Island studio's on-air during the event.
